Our Maternity Photoshoot

We got our maternity photos back and to say I’m in love is the understatement of the year! The talented, Lovelle Photography by Joslyn, captured our excitement & love for this little bundle to enter our life! Joslyn has taken photos of Josh and I last year during the Christmas season as well as shot weddings for a few college friends of mine. Her work is amazing! The details & love for each of her clients shines through her work. She even brought us the cutest little charcoal UGG booties for our baby girl. If you are in the Metro Detroit area, I highly suggest that you check her out for weddings, maternity or couple photos!

Because of the timing of our maternity shoot, I wanted to have a mixture of in home shots as well as an outdoor wintery background. The last time Josh and I had photos taken of us was our Christmas shoot in downtown Detroit but, unfortunately, there wasn't any snow. Although we haven't had much, we did manage to find a close Metropark that had some recently fallen snow on the ground. I have plans to hang some of these photographs in our office space and create a gallery wall, as well as mixing in some wedding and newborn photos.

I decided to go with the same dress I wore to our baby shower. Soft pink maxi with rose gold sequins. Any excuse to wear pink and sequins is a win for me. My dress was purchased online at ASOS. This option is great for those who prefer long sleeves and this option is great for those having a boy or looking for something other than pink.

I did my own makeup and decided to leave my hair natural. For shoes, since I knew we would be walking around outside in the snow but still needed a heel for length I wore these comfortable booties by Timberland.

Cannot wait to hang these up and show them off in our home! Photoshoots like these make for such great memories to cherish while looking back on our first pregnancy and remember all the emotions we felt in the days leading up to our little one's arrival.
